The SimplyPie app collects zero data and has no tracking. This website uses Google AdSense.
The app
SimplyPie is designed to be offline-first, private and client-side. Everything it calculates, it calculates on your device.
Zero personal data collection
- No account required. You do not create an account or give an email address, phone number or name to use SimplyPie, free or PRO.
- No tracking and no third-party analytics. The app does not track your identity, device location, IP address or browsing behaviour. It loads no analytics and no advertising code.
- No cloud database of recipes. Your formulas, dough percentages, flour blends, fermentation schedules and bake logs are processed and stored only on your device.
Local storage on your device
Your recipes, percentages, timers, theme setting, license key and bake journal are stored in your browser's private storage for the app (localStorage and IndexedDB). This data never leaves your device unless you choose to print or share a recipe card. You can erase it at any time with Reset app data in the app's Settings, by clearing the site's data in your browser, or by removing the app from your home screen.
Device permissions
SimplyPie asks for camera or photo library access only when you choose to take or attach a photo of a finished bake to your journal. Photos stay on your device and are never transmitted anywhere.
Third-party services
SimplyPie does not sell, rent or trade your data. The app runs without third-party advertising SDKs. If you buy PRO, payment happens on the checkout provider's own page, outside the app, under that provider's privacy policy; the app itself receives nothing but the license key you type in.
Children's privacy
SimplyPie does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
This website
The pages on simplypie.app, outside the app at /app/, are static pages. They set no cookies of their own and run no analytics.
This website uses Google AdSense. Once advertising is switched on, Google may set and read cookies on these pages to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google describes how it uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can manage personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. Ad slots on this website are labeled "Advertisements". No ad code runs inside the app.
